Apply for the Business Process Analyst
Location: London
Job Description:

Link Financial Group is one of Europe’s leading servicers of consumer, SME and leasing credit, operating out of 12 offices across 10 European countries and employing more than 900 people. For over 25 years our scale, professionalism and expertise in the sector have made us the partner of choice for many of the world’s leading banks and providers of credit.

Role overview

The Business Process Analyst will support operational improvement initiatives across Link Financial Group’s European businesses. We are seeking an experienced analyst with 3–5-years’ experience who can operate in a hybrid role across three complementary areas:

  • Process Analysis and Efficiency – able to define how work currently happens versus how it should happen by mapping workflows and removing bottlenecks.
  • Business Analysis – able to determine what needs to be built and why by developing the problem statement, gathering requirements and ensuring business value is delivered.
  • Project Management – able to manage own and others work including scope, timelines, budget and quality of delivery.

The successful candidate will combine rigorous business process analysis with strong project management and exceptional interpersonal skills. Ideally would have worked in Advisory, Consulting or Financial Services.

Key responsibilities

Process mapping and analysis

  • Facilitate discovery workshops with cross-functional stakeholders to extract and challenge current operational flows and identify risks and improvement opportunities. Challenge assumptions constructively while respecting subject-matter expertise and maintaining stakeholder trust.
  • Document “As-Is” workflows to expose friction points, redundant steps, compliance risks and hidden costs.
  • Drive continuous improvement through analysis and recommendations to improve efficiency and operational effectiveness.
  • Present recommendations in a clear and professional manner and support consistency of working practices across the group.
  • Design optimised “To-Be” future-state processes using standard notations.
  • Conduct gap analysis to translate workflow changes into policy, procedures or concrete system requirements.

Business analysis and requirements

  • Collaborate confidently with stakeholders at all levels, including colleagues with extensive operational experience, to identify efficiency opportunities, challenge constructively and build consensus for change.
  • Gather, structure and prioritise functional and non-functional requirements (use cases, process specifications and user stories).
  • Build commercially focused business cases including ROI models and cost-benefit justifications for proposed process or technology changes.
  • Use data and analytics to identify trends, inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
  • Support user acceptance validation (UAT) and change management handoffs.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment.

Project management

  • Able to manage multiple concurrent projects, maintaining a project plan and RAID log for small-to-medium change initiatives.
  • Coordinate project milestones, dependencies and deliverables across technical teams, vendors and business units.
  • Run stakeholder status updates and communicate project timelines or scope adjustments.

Required skills

  • Process Mapping Software – similar to Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, Camunda or Miro or Mural.
  • Methodologies – Lean/Six Sigma principles, BPMN, Agile (Scrum/Kanban) or hybrid project management frameworks.
  • Analytical and Technical Stack – advanced Excel (pivot tables, lookups and reporting) and basic data and systems lifecycle management literacy (ERP, CRM, or financial services systems). Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret operational and financial data and present conclusions and recommendations with confidence.
  • Soft Skills – workshop facilitation, strong critical thinking, stakeholder influence and translation of technical jargon for non-technical leaders.
  • Certifications (Optional/Advantageous) – BCS/ISEB Business Analysis, IIBA (CBAP/ECBA), PRINCE2 or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
  • AI – demonstrate an understanding of how to leverage AI to support process analysis, requirements elicitation, reporting and the productions of high-quality deliverables.
  • Experience within financial services, banking, credit servicing, debt purchase, collections, lending or other regulated environments.

What we offer

  • Opportunity to develop a career in operational efficiency with a Financial Services Group.
  • Exposure to senior stakeholders, a collaborative working environment and cross-border projects.
  • Development opportunities in business analysis, operational improvement and data analysis.
  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • 25 days annual leave.
