Senior Electrical Engineer (Data Centre)

Overview

In this role you will lead electrical design delivery for data centre projects, supporting a global team of engineers. You will collaborate across disciplines to turn concepts into implementable designs and supervise aspects of project execution. You’ll engage with clients and stakeholders to present technical solutions and help shape the data centre design strategy. Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage electrical delivery on small to mid-sized projects
• Provide specialised technical input for studies and design within your area of expertise
• Manage own workload and meet deadlines
• Act as a self-starter and problem solver
• Present technical solutions to clients and peers
• Participate in development of technical proposals
• Attend design team and coordination meetings
• Attend site inspection meetings as required
• Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers and other design team members

Key requirements

• Post Graduate experience in a building services design role with focus on data centres
• Conversant with ETAP, Relux/Dialux, MS Project, AutoCAD and Revit
• Familiar with regulations, standards and industry good practice; able to design for all stages of RIBA plan of work; capable of site supervision and feasibility reports
• Ability to take initiative under guidance from Principal engineer and team
• Full clean driving licence and passport; willingness to travel regionally and internationally; security clearance eligibility
• Master’s degree in electrical engineering (or with requisite post-qualification experience)
• Member of IET or CIBSE; CEng accredited or working towards
