About the Opportunity

We are recruiting a Data Scientist to join a global technology company, working within a product data science team focused on e-commerce, advertising and conversion experiences.

This is an opportunity to work on high-impact consumer-facing products, using advanced analytics, experimentation and AI-powered tools to understand purchasing behaviour, optimise product features and improve conversion performance.

The successful candidate will bring strong experience in e-commerce, advertising analytics and product experimentation, alongside the ability to independently translate complex data into actionable commercial recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead product analytics and experimentation initiatives to improve conversion, engagement and purchasing experiences.

  • Design, execute and evaluate A/B tests and product experiments, measuring their impact on customer behaviour and business outcomes.

  • Analyse large-scale datasets to identify purchasing trends, market opportunities and opportunities for product improvement.

  • Apply statistical analysis and Python/SQL to investigate hypotheses and generate actionable insights.

  • Evaluate product features and customer experiences, using quantitative evidence to recommend improvements.

  • Leverage AI-powered analytics tools and automated workflows to accelerate research and experimentation.

  • Partner with Product, Engineering and cross-functional stakeholders to influence product strategy and decision-making.

  • Proven experience designing and evaluating product experiments, including A/B testing and statistical analysis.

  • Strong understanding of digital advertising, consumer behaviour, conversion funnels and commercial performance metrics.

  • Hands-on experience using Python and SQL for data analysis.

  • Experience working with large, complex datasets and translating findings into product recommendations.

  • Demonstrated ability to independently own analytical projects from problem definition through to recommendations.

  • Strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.

Desirable Experience

  • Previous experience working within major technology companies or large-scale consumer platforms.

  • Experience using AI tools, intelligent agents or automated analytical workflows.

  • Familiarity with machine learning applications for product recommendations and feature optimisation.

  • Experience collaborating with product and engineering teams on large-scale experimentation initiatives.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

You will join an established product data science function working on innovative e-commerce experiences used at significant scale.

The role offers exposure to AI-powered analytical tools, complex product experimentation and commercially meaningful decisions, with the opportunity to directly influence conversion performance.
