Interim Head of Financial Accounting

HQ – South West (1-2 days per week in office initially, all expenses covered)

6-month contract

I’m working with a fast-paced, PE-backed consumer e-commerce business looking for an experienced Interim Head of Financial Accounting to join them for an initial 6-month contract. This is a hands-on role, taking ownership of the core finance function while managing and supporting an established team.

Responsibilities:

• Leading and managing the finance team
• Ownership of the month-end close and reporting process
• Leading the year-end audit and managing external auditors
• Ensuring strong financial controls and robust finance processes

Requirements:

• Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
• Proven experience managing finance teams
• Experience owning year-end audit from start to finish
• Available at short-notice (2 week notice period max)

The role will require weekly travel to the South West initially, so candidates will need to be comfortable with this.
