Location: Leeds
Job Description:

Make your mark as a Property Development Manager in the Property & Construction sector, based in Leeds.

Leeds has become one of the UK’s busiest regional development markets, with sustained investment in commercial, residential and mixed-use schemes across the city centre and South Bank. This employer is an established industry leader in Property & Construction, running large-scale developments with the kind of structured frameworks and clear reporting lines that let a Property Development Manager actually get on with the job. Enterprise scale means bigger sites, bigger budgets, and bigger stakes.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Lead development projects from feasibility through to completion, managing programme, budget and risk at every stage

  • Appraise potential sites across Leeds and the wider region, assessing viability and return against company targets

  • Coordinate architects, contractors, planning consultants and internal teams to keep schemes on track

  • Manage planning applications and liaise directly with local authorities and stakeholders

  • Report progress, forecasts and risks to senior leadership on a regular cycle

  • Negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships to protect project margins

Here are the skills you’ll need:

  • A proven track record delivering property development projects at a senior level, ideally within Property & Construction

  • Solid grasp of planning policy, land appraisal and development finance

  • Strong commercial judgement. You’ll need to read a deal and know when the numbers don’t add up

  • Confident stakeholder management, from site contractors to board‑level reporting

  • A relevant degree (Real Estate, Construction Management, Surveying or similar) or equivalent industry experience

  • Comfortable managing multiple schemes at once without losing sight of detail

Key perks and benefits:

  • £54,500 to £79,500, depending on experience

  • Hybrid working, balancing site visits and office time in Leeds with flexibility to work from home

  • Private medical and dental insurance

  • Enhanced pension scheme

  • Performance‑based bonuses on top of salary

Why pursue a career in Property & Construction?

Development activity in Leeds shows no sign of slowing, and that means genuine career runway for people who can manage complex schemes well. Property & Construction rewards those who combine commercial instinct with delivery discipline, and a Property Development Manager role at this level opens doors to director‑track progression. Few sectors offer this much visible, lasting impact on a city skyline.

This Property Development Manager opportunity is brought to you by The Opportunity Hub UK.
