Job Description:

Step into this Clinical Research Associate role and build something that matters in Healthcare.

Healthcare providers and research organisations across the UK are under pressure to bring treatments to patients faster, and the data behind that process has to be right every single time. This growing SME in Bristol runs clinical trials that feed directly into that pipeline. A Clinical Research Associate joining now steps into work with a visible outcome, not a box-ticking exercise.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Monitor clinical trial sites across the Bristol region and beyond, checking protocol compliance and data accuracy at every visit
  • Review case report forms and source documents, flagging discrepancies before they become problems
  • Build relationships with investigators and site staff, acting as the point of contact between them and the sponsor
  • Prepare and maintain trial documentation to GCP and regulatory standard, ready for audit at any point
  • Track patient recruitment and retention, escalating risks to timelines early rather than late
  • Write clear visit reports and follow-up actions that the wider team can actually use

Here are the skills you’ll need:

  • A life sciences, nursing or related degree, plus solid experience monitoring clinical trials
  • Working knowledge of ICH-GCP guidelines and UK regulatory requirements
  • Sharp attention to detail. Small errors in trial data have big consequences
  • Confident communication with investigators, sponsors and internal teams who don’t always agree
  • Comfortable managing your own diary and travel across multiple sites
  • Proficiency with electronic data capture systems and clinical trial management software

Key perks and benefits:

  • Salary of £30,000 to £47,000, depending on experience
  • Hybrid working, balancing site visits with time at home or in the Bristol office
  • Private medical insurance and a solid pension contribution
  • Annual leave that reflects flexible, adult working, not a rigid rota
  • Genuine progression within a company that’s grown steadily and plans to keep doing so

Why pursue a career in Healthcare?

Healthcare research doesn’t slow down. New treatments, ageing populations and constant regulatory change mean demand for good Clinical Research Associates keeps climbing. Bristol has become a real hub for life sciences and healthcare employers, so building a career here puts you close to the action rather than on the periphery. Do this job well and the next step, whether that’s senior CRA or a move into project management, tends to find you.
