Job Description:

Aria Partners are working with a boutique private markets investment firm that’s looking to appoint a fund controller to join its London team.

The business has a well-established investment strategy, an impressive leadership team and is entering an exciting period of growth, with its first fund fully invested and a second fund currently being raised.

This is an opportunity to join a relatively small, entrepreneurial business where you’ll have the ability to make an impact from day one through ownership and broad exposure.

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you’ll take on a varied role covering the financial and operational management of the firm’s funds, working closely with the investment team and external service providers.

  • Managing fund cash flows, capital activity, distributions and financing arrangements.
  • Working alongside the investment team on new transactions, portfolio activity and investment exits.
  • Supporting fundraising activities, including investor reporting, financial analysis and due diligence requests.
  • Getting involved in wider projects, process improvements and the development of the finance function as the business grows.

We’re looking for a qualified accountant with experience in private markets, ideally within private equity, private credit or another closed-ended fund environment.

Requirements:

  • A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with circa 2+ years of post qualified experience
  • Experience within a fund finance or fund accounting function, preferably in-house.
  • A good understanding of closed-ended fund structures and the wider investment lifecycle.

Basic comp is likely to sit around the £80,000 mark alongside a performance based bonus paid annually.
