Location: Cardiff and surrounding areas
Coverage: South Wales, Gloucester and Bristol
Employment: Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
The Opportunity
PYRA Construction Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a fire and security company for an experienced Fire & Security Engineer to join its growing team.
This is an active, hands‑on engineering role suited to someone confident carrying out installations, servicing, maintenance and fault‑finding across a range of fire and security systems.
The successful candidate will work across commercial client sites throughout South Wales, Gloucester and Bristol.
Offering a salary of £40,000 per annum and a permanent opportunity, this is an excellent position for an engineer looking for long-term stability and varied site‑based work.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, service and maintain fire alarm systems.
- Carry out installation and maintenance of CCTV systems.
- Work on access control and intruder alarm systems.
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently.
- Test systems and ensure they operate correctly.
- Complete service reports, job sheets and site documentation.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant standards and health and safety requirements.
- Maintain professional relationships with clients and site teams.
- Travel between sites across the designated region.
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Fire & Security Engineer.
- Practical experience with fire alarms and security systems.
- Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage site‑based tasks.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Reliable, professional and customer‑focused approach.
- Flexibility to travel across South Wales, Gloucester and Bristol.
- Available to start immediately or at short notice.
