VMRay’s sandbox technology is seen as best in the market for analysing and reporting on advanced threats, yet many organisations still don’t know us. That’s the opportunity. As Regional Sales Manager for UK, Ireland & Nordics, you’ll take over an established territory with a solid customer base, including large enterprise and government organisations where VMRay is a strategic supplier. Your focus will be raising our profile, building new pipeline and developing our partner network, as more security teams come to see a sandbox as essential.
Why VMRay
You’ll sell directly to SOC leaders, CISOs and threat intelligence teams, supported by a shared pool of Solutions Engineers and a Customer Success team that looks after renewals and upsells alongside you. It’s a steady, consistent sale: inbound interest, a trial, then a proof of concept, and prospects who reach that stage usually close.
There are no BDRs, so you’ll own your pipeline from first conversation to signature. Our partner programme is also being built, so you’ll help shape how VMRay works with partners in your region.
If you’ve sold a cyber security product in a fast-moving environment, like rolling up your sleeves, and want to grow with a company for the long term, this is built for you.
Your Responsibilities
- Own and grow the UK, Ireland & Nordics territory, exceeding quarterly and annual revenue targets
- Build your own pipeline through outbound prospecting, events and inbound interest
- Win new customers in Financial Services, Government and Critical Infrastructure, and grow existing accounts together with Customer Success
- Run trials and proofs of concept with our Solutions Engineers, guiding prospects through to close
- Help build the regional channel partner network as our partner programme launches
- Raise VMRay’s profile in the region through events, conferences and customer meetings, with 30-40% time on the road
- Share market insight with the wider team to help shape how we grow
*IMPORTANT- Our Requirements – IMPORTANT *
- Several years selling a cyber security product (software or SaaS, not services or consultancy), ideally threat detection, threat intelligence, SOC or incident response tools
- A proven track record of exceeding targets as an individual contributor, carrying your own quota
- Experience selling to SOC managers, CISOs, CTI teams and MSSPs, with an existing network in the UK & Ireland
- Experience in a scale-up or fast-growing vendor, building pipeline without a large support structure
- Comfortable running a steady flow of mid-sized deals, as well as larger enterprise and government opportunities
- Self-motivated, resourceful and organised, with the drive to create opportunities where others see challenges
- Excellent communication skills and fluent English
Advantageous (not essential):
- Existing relationships with UK resellers and channel partners
- Experience selling into the Nordics
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce, Sales Navigator, Outreach and ZoomInfo
This role is probably not for you if…
- Your cyber experience is mainly in services, consultancy or managed security, rather than selling a product
- You’re looking for a sales leadership or team management role in the near term. This is a hands-on individual contributor role.
- You prefer a large organisation with established processes, a big support team and dedicated BDRs
Location
