About the Role
Our client, a cutting-edge AI research and development company, is seeking an exceptional Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join their fully remote team. This pivotal role will involve designing, developing, and deploying advanced machine learning models and algorithms to solve complex business problems and drive innovation. You will work with large datasets, collaborate with a talented team of researchers and engineers, and contribute to the entire ML lifecycle, from data preprocessing and model training to deployment and monitoring. The ideal candidate possesses a strong theoretical and practical understanding of machine learning, deep learning, and programming in Python. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, and deploy scalable machine learning models and algorithms.
- Process, clean, and transform large datasets for model training and evaluation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into ML solutions.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines and infrastructure for ML workflows.
- Conduct thorough model evaluation, tuning, and optimization.
- Implement and manage model deployment strategies in production environments.
- Monitor model performance and retrain or update models as needed.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in machine learning, deep learning, and AI research.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code (primarily Python).
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
- Contribute to the development of best practices and standards for ML engineering.
Requirements
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in machine learning engineering or a closely related role.
- Strong proficiency in Python and popular ML libraries/frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, Keras).
- Experience with data manipulation and analysis libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
- Solid understanding of ML algorithms, statistical modeling, and evaluation metrics.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their ML services.
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Experience with data pipelines and MLOps practices is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.
- Publications in reputable AI/ML conferences or journals are a plus.
