An excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Hygiene Manager to take ownership of a large-scale hygiene operation within a high-volume, high-risk food manufacturing environment.
This is a senior site role with responsibility for a hygiene function of approximately 120 people. You will provide clear leadership, structure and accountability while ensuring consistently high standards of hygiene, food safety and compliance.
The Role
As Site Hygiene Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance of the site’s hygiene operation, including:
- Leading and developing a large hygiene team of approximately 120
- Driving hygiene standards across a high-risk manufacturing environment
- Ensuring cleaning schedules, procedures and standards are consistently achieved
- Managing labour, resources and departmental performance
- Building capability and accountability within the hygiene leadership structure
- Ensuring compliance with food safety, HACCP, BRCGS and customer requirements
- Supporting internal, customer and third-party audits
- Identifying and delivering continuous improvement opportunities
- Working closely with Technical, Operations, Engineering and other site functions
- Using KPIs and performance data to improve standards, efficiency and effectiveness
- Maintaining a strong hygiene and food safety culture across the operation
About You
We are looking for an established hygiene leader with experience operating within a high-risk or similarly demanding food manufacturing environment.
You will ideally demonstrate:
- Significant hygiene management experience within food manufacturing
- Experience leading large operational teams
- Strong knowledge of high-risk hygiene and food safety requirements
- Proven ability to improve standards and team performance
- Strong BRCGS, HACCP and audit knowledge
- Confident leadership in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- A practical, visible and accountable leadership approach

Salary up to £65,000, dependent on experience.
