Pastoral Support Officer

The Governors of Newport High School are seeking a dedicated, empathetic, and resilient Pastoral Support Officer to join our team on a Fixed Term Contract until 31/08/2027.

• Providing support to staff on student pastoral issues. promoting positive student behaviour and wellbeing including providing specific intervention for behaviour support and communicating this support with relevant stakeholders.
• Joining Student support meetings to share relevant information where appropriate. To action any interventions requested at the students support meetings.
• Ensuring attendance registers are up to date and the attendance policy is followed for absent/missing students.
• Completing student voice for the appropriate year groups supported. Collating and reporting the student voice to the line manager and other relevant colleagues.
