Help build the finance function behind one of the UK’s fastest-growing fire, security and electrical services groups.
EA-RS is a private equity-backed group of around 500 people with turnover of about £96m. Since 2021 we’ve grown through 11 acquisitions. We’re now bringing those businesses together under one brand and one finance platform, built on Sage Intacct.
We’re looking for a Group Finance Controller to lead our core finance team and act as the CFO’s trusted deputy on accounting, control and reporting.
What you’ll lead
- Group reporting and control: monthly, quarterly and year-end close across all entities, consolidated accounts, statutory accounts and the external audit
- Project accounting: consistent revenue recognition, WIP and margin reporting across our installation, project and maintenance businesses
- Working capital and treasury: a 13-week rolling cash forecast, best use of cash and our revolving credit facility, and clear KPIs on debtors, creditors and unbilled revenue
- Governance: a control framework that works for a growing multi-entity group, VAT and tax compliance, and support for board, lender and shareholder reporting
- Integration: bringing acquired businesses onto common processes, policies and systems, with faster and more automated month-end reporting
- People: leading and developing the AP, AR, payroll, management accounts and financial accounts teams
What you’ll bring
- ACA, ACCA or equivalent, with substantial post-qualification experience
- A track record as a Group Financial Controller or similar senior finance leader
- Experience in a complex multi-entity business, ideally PE-backed and turning over £50m-£250m
- Strong consolidation, statutory reporting and audit experience
- A hands-on style: comfortable shaping strategy and getting into the detail
- A team builder who drives accountability and continuous improvement
