About the Role:

As a Trainee Kitchensafe Engineer, you will be trained to install, maintain, and service Kitchensafe fire safety systems for our clients across the UK. This is an entry-level opportunity with full training provided, ideal for someone looking to start a long-term career in fire safety engineering.

You will work alongside experienced engineers and gradually build the skills and confidence needed to carry out work independently.

Key Responsibilities;

  • -Support engineers during site visits and installations
  • -Participate in a 1-in-4 call-out rota, ensuring prompt and reliable service

  • -Comfortable working in live environments and following site rules, permits, and safety procedures
  • -Basic knowledge of electrical or mechanical systems is advantageous but not essential — full training will be provided
  • -Demonstrates strong attention to detail when assisting with installations, servicing, and inspections
  • -Takes pride in completing work to a high standard and following procedures correctly
  • -Brings a positive attitude, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn a new technical skillset
  • -Works in a structured and methodical manner, able to follow instructions and technical guidance
  • -Capable of managing workload effectively, including travelling between sites and meeting scheduled deadlines
  • -Confident and professional when dealing with customers, concierge teams, and site management
  • -Able to work both independently (once trained) and as part of a supportive engineering team
  • -Uses initiative and common sense when solving problems or escalating issues appropriately
  • -Remains calm, professional, and safety-focused in pressurised or unfamiliar environments
  • -Communicates clearly and professionally with engineers, supervisors, and customers
