We’re looking for an enthusiastic English Teacher to join a successful secondary school in Chelmsford.
This role is for an exceptional English Teacher who has high expectations of their students and wants to be part of a friendly and supportive department.
The Role
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons across English Language and Literature.
- Support students with their progress and exam preparation.
- Encourage students to read widely and develop their writing and analytical skills.
- Get involved in wider English activities, clubs, trips, or enrichment where possible.
- Work closely with colleagues to maintain high standards across the department.
The Candidate
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Qualified to teach English and has strong subject knowledge.
- Enthusiastic about working with secondary-aged students.
- Confident teaching GCSE, with A-Level experience being an advantage.
- Able to build good relationships with students.
- Organised, reliable, and committed to helping students do well.
- Passionate about English and able to make lessons interesting.
