PR and Communications Executive

Job Description

A leading law firm is seeking a proactive and motivated Communications & PR Executive to join its team. Reporting to the Head of Communications, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering the firm’s communications strategy, raising its profile in the media and strengthening its brand and reputation.

The role offers a varied mix of internal and external communications, media relations, public relations, thought leadership and awards management, providing an excellent opportunity to make an impact within a leading professional services environment.

Key Duties will include:

• Monitor the media landscape, identify opportunities for expert commentary and proactively spot relevant PR opportunities.

n

• Draft compelling press releases, media statements and award submissions to showcase the firm’s expertise and achievements.

n

• Create engaging social media content across LinkedIn, X and Instagram to enhance the firm’s profile and audience engagement.

n

• Support wider firm-wide communications initiatives, including the delivery of thought leadership campaigns.

n

• Upload, edit and maintain news stories and updates on the firm’s intranet to support effective internal communications.

n

• Work closely with colleagues across the business to ensure communications activity aligns with the firm’s wider objectives and brand messaging.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years’ experience in corporate communications within a professional services environment. Experience working within a communications or PR agency is highly desirable, particularly with exposure to the legal, financial services or wider professional services sectors.

You will be a confident communicator with strong writing skills, a proactive approach to identifying media opportunities and the ability to manage multiple priorities. A keen eye for detail, an understanding of the media landscape and an interest in developing impactful communications campaigns are essential.
