Project Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong civil engineering background to support water infrastructure projects for Thames Water. This is a full-time, site-based contract role requiring effective project leadership, excellent organisation and a thorough understanding of civil works within the water sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing the delivery of civil engineering projects from planning through to completion
• Co-ordinating site activities, subcontractors, suppliers and project teams
• Monitoring programme, quality, health and safety and environmental performance
• Managing project resources, risks, budgets and delivery schedules
• Working closely with clients, stakeholders and delivery partners to maintain effective communication
• Reviewing project documentation, method statements, risk assessments and progress reports
• Ensuring works are completed in accordance with relevant water industry standards and regulations
• Resolving site-based issues and driving projects towards successful completion

Job Requirements

• Experience as a Project Manager within civil engineering or the water sector
• Strong knowledge of civil construction methods and site delivery
• Experience managing construction projects in a site-based environment
• Understanding of health and safety, quality assurance and environmental requirements
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent organisational, planning and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressureRelevant project management or civil engineering qualifications would be advantageous
