Service Designer
to join a high-profile digital transformation programme, helping to shape and deliver user-centred public services that are simpler, faster and more effective.Working within a multidisciplinary team, you’ll collaborate closely with user researchers, interaction designers, content designers, performance analysts, developers, policy specialists and stakeholders to design end-to-end services that deliver measurable outcomes for users and the organisation.
What you’ll be doing
Leading service design activities across complex digital servicesCreating high-quality service design artefacts including service blueprints, journey maps, personas, user flows and insight packsDesigning accessible, user-centred services aligned to user needs and business objectivesWorking across organisational boundaries to influence and drive successful design outcomesCommunicating service design recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiencesUsing storytelling, visualisation and design thinking techniques to bring research findings and service opportunities to lifeIdentifying opportunities to improve services and measure the impact of design changesSupporting design-led transformation through coaching, collaboration and continuous improvement initiatives
What we’re looking for
Proven experience delivering service design within complex environmentsStrong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end service design and user-centred design methodologiesExperience producing service blueprints, personas, journey maps, user flows and other key design deliverablesAbility to visualise and communicate complex services spanning multiple business areasExcellent stakeholder engagement and facilitation skillsStrong understanding of user-centred design principles and accessibility best practiceComfortable working within multidisciplinary Agile teamsAbility to influence, challenge constructively and drive consensus across diverse stakeholder groupsExperience coaching others and embedding design best practice

Knowledge or experience of
