We are currently recruiting for an experienced Setting Out Engineer to join a Tier 1 contractor working on the Sizewell C project in Suffolk.
Key Responsibilities
• Setting out for earthworks, utilities, and foundation works• Checking holding down bolts and structural elements• Managing and supervising site engineering activities• Ensuring works are carried out in accordance with technical drawings and specifications• Liaising with subcontractors, survey teams, and site management• Maintaining accurate QA records, site documentation, and as-builts• Supporting project delivery through technical guidance and problem solving
Requirements
• Proven experience working as a Setting Out Engineer on civil engineering projects• Strong setting out experience using Total Station / Leica / Trimble• Experience with earthworks, utilities, and foundation works• Experience checking holding down bolts• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications• Strong communication and organisational skills
Desirable
• Experience working on major infrastructure or Tier 1 contractor projects• SMSTS / SSSTS• Relevant engineering qualification
