We are looking for a commercially minded Data Analyst to join a growing team in Belfast. This is an excellent opportunity for an analytical professional who enjoys working with data, developing Power BI dashboards and using SQL to turn complex information into meaningful business insights.
Working closely with stakeholders across Finance, Commercial and Operations, you will help improve reporting, understand business performance and identify opportunities to increase efficiency and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports to support business decision-making.
- Use SQL to extract, analyse, combine and validate data from multiple sources.
- Analyse financial, commercial and operational performance, identifying trends, variances and opportunities for improvement.
- Work with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements, define KPIs and translate business questions into practical analytical solutions.
- Present findings and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive reporting tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Support data quality, reporting accuracy and consistency across business functions.
- Collaborate with Finance, Commercial, Operations and Technology teams to deliver analytical projects from requirements gathering through testing and implementation.
- Explore opportunities to use AI tools, Microsoft Copilot and automation to enhance analytical workflows.
Essential Skills and Experience
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in data analysis, business intelligence, reporting or a similar analytical role.
- Hands-on experience developing dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI.
- Good working knowledge of SQL, including querying, analysing and validating datasets.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and communicate meaningful insights.
- Experience engaging with stakeholders to understand business requirements and reporting needs.
- A commercial mindset and an interest in understanding business performance and supporting data-driven decisions.
- Strong communication, organisation and time-management skills.
Desirable Skills
- Experience in finance, financial services or professional services.
- Exposure to financial analysis, including revenue, costs, margins, profitability or variance analysis.
- Experience with Microsoft Copilot, generative AI or automation tools such as Power Automate.
- Familiarity with DAX, Power Query and data modelling in Power BI.
- Exposure to cloud data platforms, Microsoft Fabric or interactive dashboard development.
You do not need to meet every desirable criterion to be considered. We are particularly interested in candidates with strong Power BI and SQL skills, a curious mindset and the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
