HR OFFICER | NEWRY
Artemis Human Capitalis delighted to be working on behalf of a growing organisation to recruit an HR Officer to join its expanding HR team in Newry.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join a successful, multi-site business operating within a fast-paced environment. With significant growth underway, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting managers and employees while contributing to the continued development of the HR function.
The Opportunity
This is a varied, hands-on generalist HR role where you will act as a key point of contact for managers and employees, providing practical advice and support across the full employee lifecycle.
You’ll have the opportunity to build strong relationships across the business, support management teams and contribute to a range of HR initiatives, including employee relations, recruitment, onboarding and employee development.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising and coaching managers on employee relations, absence, performance and probation matters.
- Managing employee relations cases, including disciplinary and grievance procedures.
- Preparing contracts, variation letters and right-to-work documentation.
- Coordinating onboarding and induction processes for new employees.
- Supporting recruitment campaigns, shortlisting and interviews.
- Contributing to training and development initiatives.
- Maintaining accurate HR records, payroll information and management reports.
- Supporting HR policies, employment law compliance and employee engagement initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
- At least two years’ experience in a generalist HR role.
- Experience managing employee relations matters, contracts and right-to-work checks.
- A working knowledge of Northern Ireland employment legislation and GDPR.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A proactive, practical approach with the confidence to build relationships with managers at all levels.
- A full driving licence.
- CIPD Level 5, or working towards it, would be advantageous, as would experience within a fast-paced operational environment.
