Seasonal Kitchen Assistant (25hrs per week/2 mont at Voisins Department Store

The Kitchen Assistant is an essential support role in the kitchen.

Duties:

• Washing and Sanitising: Cleaning pots, pans, cutlery, glassware, and cooking equipment.
• Kitchen Cleanliness: Wiping down surfaces, sanitising prep stations, scrubbing walls, and sweeping or mopping floors.
• Waste Management: Emptying bins, managing recycling, and clearing out food waste.
• Deliveries and Stock: Supporting, as required in unpacking food and equipment deliveries, rotating stock, and keeping storage areas, walk-in fridges, and freezers organised.
• Basic Food Preparation: Assisting chefs with light tasks like peeling vegetables, washing produce, or portioning simple ingredients under supervision.

Skills:

• Hygiene and Safety Awareness: Strict adherence to food safety, COSHH (cleaning chemical safety), and sanitation guidelines.
• Time Management and Speed: Ability to juggle multiple
