We are seeking an experienced Paralegal to join a busy and collaborative providing legal and case management support across civil litigation, prosecutions and inquest matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage documents relating to litigation, inquests and prosecutions using electronic document management and e-discovery systemsn • Support case management activities, including monitoring and tracking deadlinesn • Take notes during court proceedings, inquests and regulatory hearingsn • Conduct legal research and prepare concise summaries of findingsn • Liaise with external solicitors, counsel's clerks and court representativesn • Maintain and update legal know-how databasesn • Support knowledge-sharing initiatives across the legal teamn • Identify and coordinate relevant training opportunitiesn • Monitor and communicate important legal and regulatory developments

Requirements

• Strong IT skills with experience using electronic document management systemsn • Excellent attention to detail and accuracyn • Strong legal research skillsn • Ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload effectivelyn • Excellent written and verbal communication skillsn • Professional and approachable manner when dealing with internal and external stakeholdersn • Ability to work independently and as part of a teamn • Flexible attitude and willingness to support a busy legal department where requiredn • Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlinesn • Ability to learn quickly and respond positively to feedback

Desirable Experiencen • LPC, BVC or equivalent legal qualificationn • Previous paralegal experience (ideally 1–3 years)n • Litigation, prosecution or inquest experience
