History Teacher – Doncaster

About the role:

Justteachers is delighted to be working with an innovative secondary school in Doncaster to appoint a committed and passionate History Teacher. This full-time, long-term position will commence from September 2026, starting on a full time supply basis with the opportunity to become a permanent member of staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured History lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Create an inclusive classroom environment that both supports and challenges students to achieve their best.
• Monitor, assess, and record student progress, providing constructive feedback to encourage continued development.
• Play an active role in shaping the History department and improving teaching resources.
• Take part in staff meetings, parent consultations, and whole-school events as required.
• Champion the school’s values while maintaining high standards of behaviour and academic excellence.

Pre-requisites:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• A degree in History or a closely related discipline.
• Experience teaching History at KS3 and KS4 within a UK secondary school.
• Strong behaviour management and clear, confident communication skills.
• An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one.
