Abit about the job:
Yourresponsibilities include providing a customer-focused andcost-effective service by visiting domestic & commercialproperty claims customers. The role involves visiting customers toassess liability, build work scopes, draw floorplan, validateclaims against policy cover, agree settlements, and determine thebest management route for the claim. Responsibilities also includerecording evidence, appointing suppliers, making liabilitydecisions, and creating initial reserves using claims scopingsoftware, sometimes working out of the area to support majorincidents. The position demands self-motivation, managing personalappointments, and may involve travel across the UK with flexiblehours, including evenings andweekends.
Skills andexperience we’re lookingfor:
Experience handling property insurance claims,loss adjusting cases or investigations within a regulatedenvironment.
Experiencewith property inspections, virtual assessments, commercial claims,and scoping systems such as Cotality and/or Xactimate would beadvantageous.
Stronganalytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to assessevidence and reach fair, balanced conclusions.
Exceptional empathy and communication skills:adept at gathering evidence, delivering difficult news withsensitivity, and maintaining strong clientrelations.
Comprehensiveunderstanding of Flood, Escape of Water (EOW), and Fire damagemanagement, alongside health and safety regulations andindustry-specificlegislation.
