We are recruiting for an experienced HR Advisor to join an established business operating across multiple sites.
This is a hands-on, operational HR role that requires someone confident managing complex employee relations cases, advising managers and supporting consistent HR practices across different locations.
We’re particularly interested in speaking with HR professionals who have worked within multi-site businesses, where they’ve had to balance competing priorities, manage challenging employee relations issues and provide practical advice to operational managers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a varied and complex employee relations caseload, including disciplinaries, grievances, performance management, absence and capability.
- Provide clear, commercially sensible HR advice to managers across multiple business locations.
- Support and advise on complex HR matters, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and internal policies.
- Coach and guide managers through formal HR processes, including investigations, hearings and appeals.
- Support organisational change, restructures and consultation processes where required.
- Work closely with operational management teams to improve employee engagement, retention and performance.
- Ensure HR policies and procedures are applied consistently across different sites.
- Identify recurring employee relations issues and work proactively with managers to address them.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous HR experience within a complex or multi-site business is preferred
- Proven experience independently managing complex employee relations casework from initial investigation through to resolution.
- Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Experience advising and influencing operational managers at different levels.
- Confidence handling sensitive, challenging and potentially contentious employee relations matters.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and priorities simultaneously.
- A practical, solutions-focused approach to HR, rather than relying solely on policy and process.
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to challenge managers when necessary.
The Opportunity
This position would suit an established HR Advisor who enjoys being involved in the operational side of HR and wants a role with genuine responsibility.
You’ll be supporting managers across a multi-site operation, dealing with varied employee relations challenges and helping the business make informed, consistent and legally compliant people decisions.
