We are working in partnership with a large secondary school in Hull (HU4) to recruit experienced Cover Supervisors for flexible, day-to-day assignments.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who already has UK secondary school experience and wants the freedom to work around their own availability.
About the School
This is a large and vibrant secondary school community serving approximately 1,600 students aged 11-18.
Located in HU4, Hull, the school offers a busy and diverse environment where every day brings a new opportunity to support students and contribute to their learning.
With students spanning the full secondary age range through to sixth form, this is an excellent setting for an experienced Cover Supervisor who enjoys working across different year groups and subjects.
Essential Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Previous UK school experience
- Experience working with secondary-aged students
- Confidence managing a classroom independently
- Strong understanding of professional expectations within a UK school
- Excellent communication and behaviour-management skills
- A reliable and professional approach
- The ability to adapt quickly to different classes, subjects and year groups
UK school experience is essential for this position.
The Role
- Supervise students in the absence of their regular teacher
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials
- Maintain a calm, safe and productive classroom
- Support students with their learning
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively
- Work across different subjects and year groups
- Ensure students remain focused and engaged throughout the lesson
You don’t need to be a qualified teacher – but you do need to be confident, experienced and ready to take responsibility for a classroom.
