This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and highly experienced professional to help lead our Children in Care Team. We are looking to recruit a compassionate practitioner who are dedicated to the health and wellbeing of all children and young people referred into the service. Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust values are at the centre of our care and we would expect the successful applicant to embrace these values and embed them into the work of the Children in Care Team.
We are a recently formed service for children in care (up to age 18 years old). The aim of the service is to help children and young people in care to achieve improved emotional health and wellbeing enabling them to engage in meaningful relationships, participate positively in the community, and take advantage of opportunities in education and learning
It aims to meet the specific and often complex psychological health and well being needs of children in care and the systems in which they are cared for. The service is multi-faceted and includes highly specialist assessments, individual therapeutic support using evidence based practice, advice, consultation, and supervision. The successful applicant will be accountable to the Children in Care Team Lead, Professional Lead and Service Manager to provide evidence based support and outcome measures to contribute to service development in meeting young people’s needs.
