Info Governance & Data Protection Officer (Public Sector)

Basildon Borough Council is seeking a Legal Officer for Property & Contracts to work on information governance matters. The role focuses on FOI, DPA 2018, and UK GDPR compliance, with responsibility for SAR handling, exemptions, redactions and timeliness.

The candidate will work onsite at Basildon, with a 3-day-per-week presence required, on a 2-month contract initially. A strong understanding of local government legislation and IT tools is essential.
