They are now seeking an organised, proactive and committed Assistant Area Caretaker to join their team. This rewarding hands-on role offers the opportunity to make a visible difference every day by helping to maintain public spaces, support community activities and ensure high standards are upheld across the parish.

Interviews will be held the week commencing 7th September

As Assistant Area Caretaker, you’ll play an important part in keeping our parks, open spaces and community facilities clean, safe and welcoming.

You’ll work both independently and alongside colleagues to support day-to-day maintenance activities and help with council-run events throughout the year.

Ideal Candidate

  • Practical, reliable and hands-on
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Able to undertake physical tasks safely
  • Knowledgeable about health and safety procedures and willing to follow them at all times
  • Flexible and willing to support council-run events when required
  • Honest, trustworthy and able to demonstrate high levels of integrity
  • A strong team player with a positive, can-do approach
  • Well organised and able to manage their workload with minimal supervision
  • Able to work to deadlines and complete tasks efficiently
  • In possession of a full, clean driving licence
