Technical Business Analyst – Data Migration

Overview

In this role you guide a major data migration initiative within a FinTech environment, bridging business needs and technical delivery. You’ll analyze requirements, translate them into clear user stories and acceptance criteria, and support delivery across the project lifecycle. You collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to ensure solutions meet business goals. The position combines data migration work with BI tooling transitions (SSRS to Power BI) and offers a hybrid London-based setup. This is a chance to shape data-focused solutions in a regulated finance context.

Responsibilities

• gather and analyse requirements from stakeholders
• document processes and user stories with acceptance criteria
• support delivery throughout the project lifecycle
• facilitate the data migration from SSRS to Power BI
• collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders
• utilise project management tools (Aha!) to track progress

Key requirements

• experience as Technical Business Analyst or Business Analyst in a regulated environment (finance preferred)
• experience supporting data migration projects
• ability to write clear user stories and acceptance criteria
• familiarity with Aha! or similar PM tools
• experience with SSRS and Power BI is advantageous
• comfortable using AI tools to augment work (e.g., Claude)
