Credit Analyst

Overview

In this role you will assess market and credit risk, evaluating the creditworthiness of corporate clients and monitoring portfolio compliance with risk policies. You will report to the UK Head of Credit and work closely with Sales, Compliance, Legal, and Operations. You will contribute to risk management initiatives and develop financial models to support informed decisions. This position sits in Corpay Cross-Border Solutions in London, offering meaningful impact on risk control in a global payments context. You will shape risk practices and partner with cross-functional teams to enable growth.

Responsibilities

• Support risk management activities including credit underwriting, operational credit, receivables management, and portfolio monitoring.
• Conduct financial analysis and interpretation of financial statements to assess client creditworthiness.
• Engage with Sales, Compliance, Legal, and Operations and assist Credit Managers with risk-related decisions.
• Contribute to new risk management projects, including financial model creation and implementation.
• Ensure client portfolios remain compliant with risk policies.
• Maintain composure and independent judgement in a high-pressure environment.

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field, with strong academic performance.
• 2–4 years of experience in credit analysis or corporate finance.
• Ability to read, analyse, and interpret financial statements.
• Excellent analytical and independent thinking skills.
• Fluency in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel.
• Passionate, collaborative, eager to learn, and able to work with stakeholders across functions.
