Due to continued growth, our client is looking to recruit an experienced Buyer to join their team. The successful candidate will join a purchasing department ensuring a constant supply of parts and components required by the business are readily available. This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished Buyer looking to take the next step in their career.

The Role

• Work closely with suppliers to improve product availability
• Raise purchase orders with suppliers and track deliveries
• Identify opportunities to reduce cost and improve supply chain
• Analyse market trends to identify opportunities and risks within categories
• Negotiate on prices and lead times to secure favourable terms
• Maintain accurate pricing on the system
• Review supplier performance and address issues promptly and efficiently
• Other relevant duties

Essential Criteria

• A minimum of 2 years (+) experience in a purchasing role
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to plan and prioritise workload
• Willingness to learn and succeed
• A positive can-do attitude
