In this role, you will work closely with the Head Chef and a team of 6 chefs to deliver high-quality meals—from fresh breakfasts and balanced lunches to a vibrant salad bar for pupils and staff. Tasks are distributed via a daily duty rota, offering varied experience across boarding house meals, match-day sports catering, and special school events.
You’ll bring a strong commitment to food hygiene, maintaining a clean workspace in line with the School’s Health, Safety, and Welfare Policy.
This is a practical position and candidates should hold a minimum relevant qualification at NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 (or equivalent).
Candidates should be able to demonstrate enthusiasm, initiative and flair.
You should also have the following attributes: reliability and punctuality, availability to work calmly under pressure and good inter-personal skills with the ability to relate well to pupils, colleagues, staff and visitors.
