Financial Accountant | Derbyshire | Study Support Provided
A well-established manufacturing business based in Derbyshire is looking for a Financial Accountant to join its finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone currently studying towards ACA, ACCA or an equivalent qualification, with full study support provided as part of the package.
What you’ll be doing · Owning the UK VAT process end-to-end, including monthly reconciliations and quarterly HMRC submissions · Managing intercompany reconciliations and resolving cross-border queries with overseas teams · Leading monthly, quarterly and year-end close activities · Reconciling key balance sheet accounts and posting journals · Providing data and insight to support budgeting and forecasting · Partnering with the Treasury function and contributing to wider business improvement projects
What we’re looking for · Studying towards ACA, ACCA or an equivalent qualification, ideally nearing completion — study support provided · Experience preparing full statutory accounts within a larger organisation · Background in external audit review, or ownership of the audit process within an accounts team · Exposure to FMCG or manufacturing environments would be an advantage · A proactive mindset, with a track record of spotting process improvements and cost efficiencies without compromising accuracy What’s on offer · Full study support towards your professional qualification · Permanent, full-time role with a stable, well-established manufacturing employer · Broad exposure across financial accounting, from VAT and intercompany to statutory reporting · The chance to work cross-functionally and contribute to wider business projects
