Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer

A leading manufacturing business in York is seeking a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to carry out planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring production equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving a variety of production and site equipment to ensure maximum reliability, efficiency, and safety.

This role requires both electrical and mechanical maintenance experience within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical and mechanical faults.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.

Qualifications

• A recognised engineering qualification (Electrical, Mechanical, or Multi‑Skilled discipline).
• Previous maintenance engineering experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A flexible approach to working hours and shift patterns.

Job Offer

Salary is ranging up to £55,000 per annum. This is a day shift based role; however, we are looking for someone open to a mixture of day and night shifts.
