Metrology Engineer – Contractor or temp to perm

Are you an experienced Metrology Engineer with strong CMM and GD&T knowledge?

We’re looking for a skilled Metrology Engineer to join a quality-focused manufacturing environment in Kingswinford. This is a varied role where you’ll be responsible for dimensional measurement, CMM programming, MSA and supporting NPI and continuous improvement.

Metrology EngineerJob Description

• Measuring production and NPI parts using contact and non-contact CMMs
• Creating and programming measurement routines
• Using PC-DMIS and Nikon NEXIV optical measurement equipment
• Carrying out PPAP and Annual Layout Inspections
• Planning and completing MSA studies
• Analysing measurement data to improve processes and measurement technique

Metrology EngineerEssential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

• Previous experience working within a Metrology or laboratory environment
• Strong CMM programming and measurement experience
• Essential experience with PC-DMIS and Nikon NEXIV
• Excellent understanding of GD&T and first-principles measurement
• Good knowledge of MSA, SPC and statistical analysis
• Experience supporting PPAP/NPI/APQP
