Job summary

The Procurement Officer will be responsible for supporting the Procurement Manager to ensure that the strategic and operational procurement objectives of the Council are achieved.Principal procurement duties will include (but not be limited to):

• Providing procurement support, advise, guidance and training to staff in line with relevant policies and procedures training
• Assist in the management of the eProcurement systems and provide training to users of the systems
• Assisting with the issue and award of Requests for Quotations;
• Assist with the management of the Tender process
• To provide support in the management and delivery of the transformational change and integration of this service area.
• To provide support to ensure appropriate measures are implemented to ensure efficient and effective performance and continuous improvement and transformation of the service.
