The Work:
Your responsibilities will reflect your experience, with typical duties include:
- Handling residential property transactions from instruction through to completion and registration.
- Managing freehold and leasehold sales and purchases.
- Dealing with remortgages and transfers of equity.
- Reviewing title documents, preparing contract documentation and raising or responding to enquiries.
- Reviewing searches and mortgage offers, and reporting to clients and lenders.
- Coordinating exchange of contracts and completion.
- Overseeing post-completion requirements, including Stamp Duty Land Tax submissions and Land Registry applications.
- Keeping clients, estate agents, lenders and other solicitors informed as transactions progress.
- Maintaining accurate files and meeting compliance, anti-money laundering and lender requirements.
