SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test)

Overview

In this role you drive quality by building and validating automated tests within an Agile, cross-functional team. You contribute to large-scale modernization efforts while working with both modern and legacy systems. You will integrate testing into the development lifecycle, support CI/CD and deployment activities, and help raise quality standards across the product. This position offers impact through hands-on test design and close collaboration with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead testing activities within a cross-functional engineering team
• Define and establish testing standards, approaches, and best practices
• Design, build, and maintain automated test suites
• Contribute directly to the application codebase alongside software engineers
• Support CI/CD pipelines, release processes, and deployment activities
• Participate in code reviews and quality assurance activities
• Ensure high levels of software quality throughout the development lifecycle
• Support the successful delivery of large-scale product transformation initiatives

Key requirements

• Experience as an SDET, Software Engineer in Test, or QA Automation Engineer
• Strong software engineering mindset with a passion for quality and test automation
• Experience in Agile product development teams
• Experience contributing to large-scale application modernization or transformation programmes
• Comfort with modern and complex legacy systems
• Strong understanding of SDLC, testing strategies, and QA best practices
• Experience collaborating with developers, product managers, and engineering teams
