Technical Project Manager

Overview

As Deltaflow Project Manager, you lead FPGA-based QEC delivery across multiple engineering teams in Riverlane’s PMO. You shape the programme plan, track milestones, and surface risks to senior stakeholders, while enabling collaboration with external partners. You’ll refine PMO processes and maintain essential collaboration tools to support rapid, reliable delivery. This role blends Agile at team level with milestone-driven governance at programme level, offering hands-on quantum knowledge and impact at scale.

Responsibilities

• Lead Deltaflow delivery across 3–4 teams (hardware, verification, firmware, software, QA) from kick-off to closure
• Track release readiness against the roadmap and meet key product milestones
• Identify and manage interdependencies and their impact on the programme
• Maintain risk registers and issue logs; implement risk responses
• Support PMO process improvement, templates, and standards
• Maintain Jira boards, Miro spaces, dashboards, and Confluence pages to ensure ticket quality
• Run partner projects from initiation to closure, coordinating work packages
• Ensure deliverables meet acceptance criteria within schedule and scope
• Provide performance reporting to funding bodies and partners per communications plan
• Act as primary contact for partners and funding bodies, maintaining strong relationships

Key requirements

• A technical background (engineering, physics, or computer science) or equivalent hands-on engineering experience
• 3+ years of project management experience in a deep-tech environment, overseeing multiple engineering projects or teams
• Ability to engage with engineers on specifications, interfaces, and test plans to understand trade-offs and risks
• Experience with hybrid delivery (agile practices plus milestone-based planning and risk management)
• Experience delivering externally funded projects with milestones, deliverables, and reporting
• Strong prioritisation skills and governance discipline
• Clear, concise communication translating engineering detail for senior stakeholders
• Working knowledge of Jira, Miro, and Confluence
