Nature Services Sector Lead – Energy

Overview

In this role you will lead the growth and positioning of WSP’s Nature Services for the energy sector, spanning generation, renewables and T&D. You will translate market intelligence and client relationships into strategic growth programs and priority bids, collaborating with cross-functional teams. You’ll shape integrated ecological, marine, and environmental solutions for major UK energy projects. This is a leadership role that combines commercial insight with sustainability expertise to drive meaningful, nature-led outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Energy Sector Plan with market drivers, opportunities, risks and policy developments
• Create separate growth strategies for Generation & Renewables and Transmission & Distribution
• Prioritize target clients and opportunities to maximise value for WSP
• Strengthen client relationships through collaboration with account and BD teams
• Coordinate Nature Services contributions to major bids and assemble expert teams
• Identify policy/regulatory developments and forthcoming frameworks to build a pipeline
• Facilitate cross-disciplinary collaboration to deliver integrated ecological and environmental solutions

Key requirements
