n You will be joining a well-established public sector organisation delivering a vital frontline service to local communities across Glasgow. Operating 24/7, the team provides essential support to residents, handling a variety of enquiries and incidents that require a professional, empathetic and efficient response.

n

Your New Role

n

n As a Call Handler, you will be the first point of contact for members of the public, responding to a range of incoming calls in a fast-paced environment. Working on a rotating 4 days on / 4 days off shift pattern, including day shifts, back shifts and nightshifts, you will:

n

    n

  • Handle incoming calls from customers and service users
  • n

  • Respond to telecare and community alarm activations
  • n

  • Log and process anti-social behaviour complaints
  • n

  • Manage homelessness reports and requests for emergency assistance
  • n

  • Provide reassurance and support to vulnerable individuals
  • n

  • Accurately record information on internal systems
  • n

  • Liaise with internal departments and external agencies where required
  • n

  • Ensure all enquiries are handled professionally and in line with established procedures
  • n

  • This is a temporary opportunity offering competitive rates of up to 23.17 per hour.

What You'll Need to Succeed

n

n To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

n

    n

  • Previous experience within a call handling, contact centre or customer service environment
  • n

  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • n

  • The ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
  • n

  • Strong administration and IT skills
  • n

  • Experience handling sensitive or challenging situations
  • n

  • A flexible approach to working a variety of shift patterns, including nights and weekends
  • n

  • Experience supporting vulnerable customers would be advantageous
  • n

n
