Priory Hospital Newbury, Berkshireis a level 2 rehabilitation service supporting adult males withmental health needs, working towards community reintegration. It isaccessible by public transport, with local bus routes nearbyincluding services to Reading and Basingstoke, and nearby trainstations providing links intoLondon.

Reporting to theHospital Director, you will be a key member of the Hospital SeniorManagement Team, providing strong clinical leadership across ournursing and therapy services. You will have overall responsibilityfor the safe, effective and high-quality delivery of clinicalservices, ensuring our patients receive the highest standards ofcare and support.
You will leadclinical services across our two wards: a 12-bed Rehabilitation& Recovery (R&R) ward and an 18-bed Acute ward. Workingcollaboratively with colleagues across the hospital, you willpromote a positive, patient-centred culture, drive continuousimprovement and ensure our clinical teams are supported to deliverthe best possible outcomes and experience for ourpatients.

Whatyou’ll bring to therole
Essential for therole
- Registered withthe Nursing and Midwifery Council or Health and Care ProfessionsCouncil
- Experience working at a supervisory ormanagerial level within a relevant clinical setting.
- At least 2 years experience working as a Ward Manager orequivalent.
- Experience of managing clinicalbudgets and resources effectively.
- Strongleadership and people management skills, with the ability tomotivate and develop clinical teams.
- Experience of leading, implementing and reviewing qualityimprovement initiatives within a relevant clinicalenvironment.
- Excellent verbal andnon-verbal communication skills, with an understanding of howcommunication can impact different audiences.
- Ability to adapt and flex communication style dependingon the situation, audience and message.
