IT Project Manager

Overview

In this IT Project Manager role, you will steer the end-to-end delivery of complex technology initiatives, ensuring scope, timelines, budgets and outcomes align with priorities. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders, technical teams and business areas to define requirements and achieve agreed results. You’ll coordinate multiple project teams, governance and reporting while guiding technology-led organisational change using Agile and Waterfall methods. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role in the public sector with a focus on delivering tangible impact.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of complex IT and technology projects from initiation to closure
• Manage project plans, budgets, resources, risks, issues and dependencies to keep delivery on track
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders, technical teams and business areas to define requirements and outcomes
• Coordinate multiple project teams with clear direction, governance and reporting
• Support technology-led organisational change using Agile and Waterfall approaches as appropriate

Key requirements

• Proven experience delivering complex IT and technology projects from initiation through to implementation
• Strong knowledge of Agile and Waterfall with ability to adapt methods by project
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills with senior stakeholders
• Experience managing budgets, resources, risks, governance and competing priorities in complex environments
• PRINCE2, Agile or MSP qualifications; public sector experience advantageous
