AI Business Systems Analyst

Overview

In this role you will drive AI-enabled business transformation across the organisation by partnering with business, data and technology teams. You will shape AI solutions from concept to adoption, ensuring measurable value, improved efficiency and enhanced customer experience. You’ll work across groups to align AI initiatives with strategy, governance and security, while mentoring colleagues and maintaining robust solution documentation.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the Group’s AI strategy & planning
• Identify innovative AI systems and assess them against business, technical and security needs
• Lead implementation of approved tech/AI systems
• Manage system life cycle for allocated systems (implement/develop/decommission)
• Undertake business analysis to translate user requirements into solutions
• Identify process improvements, efficiency gains and cost savings
• Troubleshoot issues and support requests
• Analyze root causes and propose permanent solutions
• Participate in major incidents and remediation
• Mentor junior team members
• Adhere to Technology Governance processes (incident management, change enablement)
• Maintain technical design documents, knowledge base articles and procedures
• Build relationships with business contacts and 3rd party suppliers
• Escalate issues and propose solutions
• Maintain security by design and promote cyber security best practices

Key requirements

• At least 5 years’ commercial experience as a Business Systems Analyst
• Experience on AI & digital transformation projects
• Proven track record delivering digital transformation or system implementations
• Strong BA methodologies knowledge
• Good understanding of AI concepts (Generative AI, Machine Learning, intelligent automation, data-driven decision making)
• Strong data literacy (data quality, governance, reporting)
• Experience in regulated environments (Legal, Financial Services, Professional Services)
• Excellent stakeholder management (senior stakeholders)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Excel; reporting/visualisation tools such as Power BI
• Experience producing process maps and business process models
