Hours: 8:30am – 5:30pm (including an unpaid one-hour lunch break)
We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable Part-Time Sales Assistant to join our team at our busy hardware store.
The successful candidate will enjoy working with members of the public and have a friendly, approachable and engaging personality. You should be confident speaking to customers, happy to offer help and advice, and take pride in providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Welcoming customers and providing friendly, helpful service.
Assisting customers with product enquiries and helping them find what they need.
Serving customers at the till and processing transactions.
Keeping the shop floor clean, organised and well presented.
Receiving and putting away deliveries.
Developing product knowledge to help customers make informed choices.
Working as part of a team to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the store.
The Ideal Candidate:
Has a friendly, outgoing and engaging personality.
Enjoys meeting and talking to members of the public.
Is confident approaching customers and offering assistance.
Has a positive, helpful and enthusiastic attitude.
Is reliable, punctual and well organised.
Can work independently as well as part of a team.
Previous retail or customer service experience would be an advantage, but is not essential.
