Stephen Liu Design, an emerging London-based avant-garde fashion house, is seeking talented and passionate Hair Stylists and Makeup Artists to join our backstage creative team for an upcoming fashion presentation at MR PORTER London on 18 November 2026.
Following our recent showcase at the Musée du Louvre in Paris, we are excited to present our latest collections in London, bringing together experimental silhouettes, contemporary craftsmanship and innovative textile design.
We are looking for creative individuals who are enthusiastic about fashion, editorial beauty and backstage production. This opportunity is particularly suited to emerging professionals, recent graduates and artists looking to expand their fashion portfolios and gain hands‑on runway experience.
Creative Direction
The presentation will feature approximately 10 models, showcasing two collections with distinct beauty directions:
The Afterparty Collection
- Editorial, smoky eye makeup in black and grey tones.
- Contemporary, slightly rebellious beauty aesthetic.
In the Shade of Home — SS27
- Subtle metallic shimmer and luminous, modern makeup.
- Minimal, refined beauty with a futuristic influence.
- Effortless, natural Parisian-inspired styling.
- Clean, understated looks complementing the garments.

As an independent emerging designer label, we are working within a modest production budget and greatly appreciate the support of artists who are interested in growing alongside independent fashion creatives.
Professional imagery and video content from the presentation will be made available for portfolio use where possible, with appropriate creative credits.
Skills and Experience Required
Any previous editorial, backstage or fashion show experience (not essential).
