JOB PURPOSE

Do not pass up this chance, apply quickly if your experience and skills match what is in the following description.Responsible for ensuring that both North East sites are maintained to the highest standards and in accordance with the ISO9001, PS9000 & BRCGS standards in terms of Quality and Hygiene. Assist with training and continues improvement of Food Safety and Quality Culture in compliance with global standards.To maintain and conduct Quality Assurance Inspections at all stages of production.Support and promote all production processes completed according to company established procedures.Facilitate internal quality projects, facilitate quality assurance across two locations.Support shift cover may be required.Primary shift pattern: Mon Fri times to be agreed with QM;SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIESFacilitate and support investigations for internal and external non -conformance with a RC and CAPASupport audits/visits by auditors and customersContact customers / suppliersAct as first point of contact from the production area regarding quality matters.Promoting and enforcing good quality practises and hygiene standards.Control Quality documentation required for the QMSBe able to analysis production samples against approved standards when needed.Checking/sampling of finished goods pallets in the warehouse if needed.Support the site in containment of faulty material. When required support sorting activity.Conduct where appropriate, testing of raw material.Carry out internal audits to the standards – Monitor and maintain GMP/BBQ. G&P, Internal audit performance. Publish results, raise and manage non-conformances.Oversee and conduct quality inspection rounds during the designated shifts.Monitor performance and proactively plan tasks to meet customer expectationsAdministrate and direct everyday essential Quality assurance activities (QTs), complete personally where required.Perform other duties as directed by the Quality Manager, QM deputy.PERFORMANCE INDICATORSTime keeping and punctuality.Adherence to agreed procedures.Good housekeeping practicesDuties completed on time and to the planImproved Customer Complaint TrendsIncreased Customer SatisfactionMonthly European targets achieved.

TECHNICAL SKILLS/QUALSPrevious quality assurance experience essential.Experience within a manufacturing environment (ideally food, print and/or packaging) essential.Experience in internal and/or external auditing is essential.Experience with RCA and CAPA essential.Knowledge of the global standards is essential.Computer skills including the use of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word to be in position to prepare, analyse and present performance.Computer literate able to use ERP system Avante (desirable – training will be provided)Full Driving License essential.INTERPERSONAL SKILLSExcellent communication skills essential, ability to give clear written and verbal instructions, clearly understand and explain Quality issues to workforce and have good understanding of procedures and processes.Able to identify areas of weakness within processes and customer specific procedures and help find innovative solutions.Highly responsible, reliable and flexible with a strong work ethic.Able to effectively prioritise and adapt to a varied and changeable workload.Presentable and with good attendance. xwwtmva Attention to detail.Proactive and can-do attitudeBe able to manage the own workload and with minimum supervisionLead by example…
