Experienced Stock Controller
Location: NewryJob Type: Full-time | PermanentRate of Pay: Depending on Experience (DOE)Hours: Monday to Friday
The Role
GenTech Recruitment is currently recruiting for anexperienced Stock Controller to join a busy and well-established operation based in Newry.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background instock control, inventory management or warehouse operations who is confident managing stock accuracy and ensuring materials are available when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate stock and inventory records.
- Monitor stock levels and identify shortages or discrepancies.
- Carry out regular stock counts, cycle counts and stock checks.
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies.
- Process stock movements accurately on the company system.
- Check and record incoming goods.
- Ensure stock is correctly located and stored.
- Monitor stock replenishment and availability.
- Liaise with warehouse, purchasing and operational teams.
- Maintain accurate paperwork and system records.
- Identify opportunities to improve stock accuracy and processes.
- Ensure stock control procedures are followed at all times.
- Maintain high standards of Health & Safety and housekeeping.
Essential Requirements
- Previous Stock Controller / Inventory Controller experience is essential.
- Strong experience within a warehouse, distribution or similar environment.
- Experience completing stock counts and investigating discrepancies.
- Confident using stock/inventory management systems.
- Strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work accurately in a busy environment.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
- Experience withinbuilding materials, construction supplies, timber, plumbing/heating or a builders’ merchant environment.
- Experience using ERP or warehouse management systems.
